In 2011 we released our first album, the Mugga EP, which included a total of five songs. Long before that we had already been working on what will be our second album, this time an LP of 12 new songs. Ever since our EP was released we have played at many venues and have spent countless hours honing and perfecting our new album. This time, we have decided we're going to bet big.
ABOUT US
We are five ways of understanding and creating music. We started working on getting out a project over five years ago, two years before giving birth to what is now Mugga. We are passionate about making, discovering, generating and sharing music. We are capable of spending entire nights rehearsing, playing until the pain in our hands forces us to stop.

-Psychodelay Music Video
Our Mugga EP has done pretty well. In less than a year we have almost sold out the 1,100 physical copies we produced, and we have appeared on hundreds of blogs and magazines nationally and internationally. Our songs have been played across radio stations from California to Germany. Our music video Psychodelay has already over 30,000 views on YouTube. And all that without the support of any label, promotion agency or media.
Portada del Mugga EP:
What has become clear after our first record is that we can do something much bigger, but the means available to a group like ours alone are not enough for us to be heard where we know that the public and the outlook or scene can respond.
The new album has a potential and a quality Mugga EP, and we want that the care and work we put on the songs reaches as many people as possible. We’d love to give this record the promotional support it deserves, as well as a higher level of production.
WHAT WE NEED THE MONEY FOR
For a project like this, the sound of the album has to be at the height of the greatest musicians. We have chosen RedLed Studios in Madrid, where many of the greatest Spanish artists have recorded, as well as international artists such as Tina Turner, Will I Am and Compay Segundo. Such a studio would give us a huge qualitative leap from our first album. We would be able to defend the project at the level of the best musicians.
But making a record is not just going into the studio and start playing. We have a very ambitious plan in mind that will comprise distribution, promotion, merchandising, etc. to make it a complete project rather than only focus on the purely musical aspect, so we can have the push that we need.
The studio alone will cost 3,000 €, and includes recording, mixing and mastering of the songs. The cost of 1,000 Cd's in digipack format with a 16 page booklet will cost 2,000€ *. But it does not stop there. The 200 shirts that we will produce will be around **1,000€ *, merchandising **300 €. The promotion, marketing and distribution will be *1,500 € *
If we want to give life to the project in a reasonable manner, we will need at least 8,000€. We have set out to reach at least *4,000 *, which is what we will need to cover the costs of the studio and part of the production of CDs.
WHAT IS CROWDFUNDING
Crowdfunding is a method by which a project is financed by the contributions of many people that are interested in it. In return for each contribution, the supporters receive a reward, and become part of the project. The greater the contribution, the higher the reward. If we get to our objective, the project gets the funding, and we proceed to give the corresponding reward to each supporter. If we fail to achieve the minimum target, the money would not come from the hands of the supporters. We would not receive a single euro of crowdfunding, and the project would not be carried out.
WHY crowdfunding
Without you, Mugga would be nothing. We would not have what to dream about or whom to be accompanied by. The support that you give us during each and every concert energizes us and fills us with reasons to keep doing this. We have a great desire and enthusiasm to carry out this project. The chances of it actually happening are in the hands of our effort and our work, but also in all of you who decide to be a part of Mugga and share this journey with us.
An album is made up of many parts, and now you can be one of them.
If this project is successful, we will be forever grateful, and as part of the reward that you choose, you can always say that you were one of the people behind this project.
Many thanks in advance!
Mugga is Antón Serrats, Pedro del Corro, Alfonso Portabales, Heras "Da Lizzard" y Fernando Furones
