MOUNTAIN DREAMS

This small handful of images is much more than a simple photography book, since they reflect a style and a “philosophy of life”, that of those who risk everything, to make their dreams come true, to discover the beautiful landscapes that our mother nature from the top of the most spectacular peaks on the planet and also do it with a camera to be able to share those “gifts” with others, their lived experiences. A LIFE AMONG MOUNTAINS

In the book you will find images taken over more than 25 years of expeditions and photographic trips. Many of them have obtained recognition in the most prestigious photography contests.

From the highest peaks on the planet such as Everest, in the Himalayas, a mountain that I ascended in 2018, to such mythical peaks as Mount K2 and Broad Peak in the Karakorum, passing through mountain ranges such as the Pamir, the Thian Shan, Alaska, Andes, Africa, Alps, Dolomites, or the Pyrenees, the mountains that saw me grow up.

The best lights, the most beautiful locations, the experiences lived along the way.

WHO I AM

I am Javier Camacho, a photographer specialized in landscape, standing out as one of the best international authors in high mountain photography. I have achieved more than 250 recognitions in various photography contests, also participating on several occasions as a jury. Participation as a speaker in numerous photography conferences and photographic screenings. Carrying out several individual and group photography exhibitions. Photographic documentaries of numerous mountain ranges on the planet, highlighting the ascent of Everest, Lhotse at 8516 m and Cho Oyu at 8201, the latter two without using artificial oxygen, among many other mountains. CHARACTERISTICS

The first objective is the publication of 1,000 copies of 200 pages with soft cover, measuring 28.5 x 24 cm, on 150 g semi-matte coated paper, with 4+4 inks and acrylic varnish.

If the first objective is exceeded, there will be improvements that could range from increasing the number of pages or changing the cover to a hardcover.

WHAT WILL YOUR CONTRIBUTIONS GO TO?

The money raised in this campaign will be dedicated to covering the costs of layout and printing of the book.

EXPECTED SCHEDULE

The book is currently in layout. I hope it is ready to ship in January.
