KRONOSHOCK - stop motion short film

About the project

Kronoshock is a stop motion animation short film whose main theme is time. Past and present are together in the same story whose action takes place in the mountain.

In 1904, an expeditionary attempts to be the first person to reach the summit of a great mountain. 120 years later a female mountaineer tries to be the fastest to climb the same mountain on the most difficult side.

Your impulse

In order to make the project a reality we need your collaboration. Our previous short films have been self-financed and carried out but this time we need your financial support to start the project.

We want this project to be also yours and for this reason we will keep you informed of the progress of its production.

Through the website we will detail the status of the short film in its different stages.

Who we are

Buenosmal is a small stop motion animation film production company formed by Ignasi López and Ana Vega.

Ignasi (1971) studied drawing at l'Escola Massana (1991-1994) and after some years dedicated to illustration and painting decided to start a new adventure in animated film.

Ana (1973) is translator and dubbing actress. She studied at Escuela de Doblaje de Barcelona, Polford y First Rec.

Nos encanta explicar historias y sobre todo si están relacionadas con el montañismo y así han surgido nuestros anteriores cortometrajes: Criaturitas (2016), Viacruxis (2018), El gran hito (2020) y Egoland (2022).

Our short films have received awards at severals international festivals: Festival de Málaga, Bilbao mendi, Filmets, Octubre corto, Krakow mountain, BCN sports, Vancouver mountain, C.I.M, Retours du monde, Ladek, Tegernsee, Animakom, FGF, Eho mountain...

They have also been selected for severals festivals: St.Louis, Trento, Autrans, Tokyo anime, La monstra, Tarazona, Aguilar, Zlín, Guanajuato, BANFF, Dutch, Kendal, Dutch mountain, Ushuaia, Inkafest...

What will your contributions be used for?

Your financial contributions will allow us to have time. Time that we will dedicate to building characters, set, photographing and animating the scenes and finally editing the short film.

Planned timetable

Our intention is to have the short film finished in Autumn 2024. The pre-production part is almost finished and if we reach our goal in Verkami we will start production next September.

This is an approximate time estimate based on our experience but each project is different and may vary slightly, always with the intention of achieving the best result.
