The Fantastic Journey

In a Nutshell:

Hi! I'm Joan Baró, and I’m inviting you on a journey with two destinations in mind!

The first is practical, and it's the heart of this campaign: I'm a musician and currently without transportation. To keep doing my work—which is increasingly taking me further and for longer—I need a van where I can live during long tours, both around Catalonia and in faraway countries. My very own Ship to the Stars!

The second goal is artistic and what I offer in exchange for your support: a shared journey of artistic and personal exploration—a year-long exclusive tour for patrons, during which, if you wish, I’ll come visit you. The outcome of this journey will be to record my first album, which I’ll also share with you through this campaign, culminating in the Great Final Party of the Fantastic Journey, one year from now!

The Fantastic Journey

You know that place between sleep and wakefulness, where we were once children and will remain so forever? Where adventures stay when we grow up? That’s where I want to go, to gather every memory I can, turn them into songs and gathering them in an album. The very first album by Joan Baró.

I want to play and draw like a little kid again, rediscover songs, sounds, images, stories, imaginary worlds, sing and dance around the fire like there’s no tomorrow, create, explore, dream, and reconnect with everything that matters to me and has been forgotten for too long—and turn all that into a record, and into a beautiful experience to share with you through an exclusive patron-only concert tour. But for that, I need a vehicle to get to you!

The Ship to the Stars!

I need my own ship to travel in and live in during my interstellar and international journeys. A van big enough to allow for long tours and extended time away from home, which is clearly where life is taking me next… I need a van to live in. If you happen to know of a good one, it would be magical to find it thanks to my patrons and allies!

Where Your Contributions Go:

• Most of the money will go towards getting this little home on wheels, as big, good, and beautiful as it gets with the money that I'll gather from the campaign.

• Another important portion will go to cover travel costs, album production, rewards, merchandise, etc.

• I’ll also use part of the funds to buy a battery-powered PA speaker, to serve as a small sound system when I’m away from home.

• Some funds will go to pay Verkami’s commission for their great work.

• And some will also go to taxes, as the state takes its share.

Project Timeline

The calendar will kick off once I have the van. I’ll reach out to all of you and we can schedule everything up until June 16, 2026, when we’ll celebrate the end of the Fantastic Journey with a final concert and party for all patrons!

Over the course of the year, I’ll be writing, refining, and recording songs for the album, producing the physical copies, the merch, and preparing everything to hand out at the final celebration.

I’ll give out the rewards in person at the party. If you can't make it that day, we can arrange to meet at another concert or moment so I can hand you your rewards!

The Journey Rewards!

There are all kinds of rewards! Let me walk you through them! Most of the rewards are performances. I'm excited to bring you the music I’ve been working on, which marks the first step on this solo journey. Of course, I’m also offering you physical copies of my debut album, which will be ready by the end of the campaign, on June 16, 2026.

I’m also offering exclusive treasures like stickers, T-shirts—so you can carry the Fantastic Journey with you wherever you go! You can even get my original drawings, which I’m selling to help fund the project! The digital version of the album will also be included with every contribution!

IMPORTANT: Since many of the rewards are performances the prices are relatively high. I recommend teaming up with friends so you can bring me to wherever you’d like! If you share the cost of a reward it becomes much more affordable and the celebration is even better when it’s shared. The more, the merrier!

In fact, travel expenses can also be shared. If you know someone in your area who also wants to book a concert around the same dates, you can make the most of the same trip—I'll already be in the neighborhood!

IN PERSON!

I like what you're offering to those in spirit, but I also want to attend the exclusive party and final concert happening on June 16, 2026, somewhere in Catalonia (even Joan doesn’t know where yet!).

SIGNED, SEALED, DELIVERED!

I want everything mentioned above, but also the physical copy of the album—to see it, hold it, and treasure it! Word is, it will be a limited edition, signed and stamped!

THE CLAN!

I want to come to the final party with family or friends—up to 4 extra people! And of course, I want everything the others get, too!

A LITTLE SONG JUST FOR ME!

You know what would be fun? If Joan Baró recorded a video dedicating that song I love and he always sings! Plus everything the others receive, of course!

WORK DAY'S CELEBRATION!

I want Joan to come and do a private concert -or a world traditional dances ceilidh!- unplugged or using my P.A. System, on a weekday in Catalonia (Monday to Thursday). I’ll pitch in extra for travel costs if needed, I have an add-on available for that! I could even invite my whole town or city! If that’s the case, we might need amplification! Good thing I can select a special add-on so he brings his own PA system! And yes—I want everything the others get too!

IT’S FESTA MAJOR!

Same as above—a private concert or a world traditional dances ceilidh for my people, my town, or my city—but on a weekend or bank holiday in Catalunya! Let’s celebrate!

JOAN BARÓ À LA CARTE!

I want a private concert or a world traditional dance ceilidh with Joan Baró, but with the option to choose what songs or pieces he plays from his repertoire! This reward includes the sound equipment and the travel expenses if the gig is within a 150 km driving radius from Lleida or Inbhir Nis!

YOUR FANTASTIC JOURNEY

I want the biggest reward of all! I want Joan Baró to write and record a custom song just for me! This also includes a dedicated video performance of my favorite song from Joan’s repertoire, the digital album, access to the WhatsApp group, the signed and stamped physical album delivered in person, and the chance to attend the final party with THE CLAN!
