"In 1998 SOLO was born as a hobby to disconnect from the long list of commissions for licensed characters that came to my desk. Those first pages of SOLO were not much graphically, but they served to entertain and give free rein to sharp pencils more hooligan.

I never imagined that many years later I would draw the same story again simply to be consistent with the graphic quality of previous books. It was also the first story to be published uninked. For a long time I had worked hard to find a way to color on the pencil and preserve the freshness and imprint of the stroke, despite not considering myself a bad inker I think the decision was right, since I managed to keep the most organic part under the digital coloring of the drawing.

Perhaps for that reason this is the most careful and clean pencil work of all that I have done and, in my opinion, the best drawing of all the SOLO books. Maybe, if only for that, it's worth having. I like these kinds of books a lot.

This crowdfunding aims to publish a book with all the original pencil pages from the album "SOLO. Cannibal World". This will consist of 126 pages in 21X29.7cm format. With soft cover binding, it will not have any text or speech bubbles, the pages are clean to see the drawing in all its splendor.

About the Author:

Oscar Martin: Screenwriter and illustrator has worked for such emblematic companies as Disney or WB, for the latter writing and drawing Tom & Jerry for 30 consecutive years. He has also been and is a regular contributor to the most important publishers in Europe. Known mainly for being the creator of the character SOLO, a series translated into 8 languages and published in more than 10 countries. His passion for comics does not prevent him from doing other types of work. Style guides for merchandising, character design for animation series or video games...

What will we allocate your contributions to

The money raised in this crowdfunding will go mainly to cover the expenses of the edition. These expenses include the layout, editing and printing of the book.

It also includes the production costs of other rewards such as the prints, the shipping, handling and parcel costs of all the rewards as well as the financing of future character projects.

Planned schedule

Crowdfunding will end in October. If we reach our goal, the book will be ready shortly, since the edition is practically finished.

It will surely be ready to send to patrons in December of this year.
