About the project
We are four young musicians, involved in this project since 2015. As we move on with our careers, we are specializing in early music. We want Entrebescant to grow in order to be able to show the vast variety of music composed during the middle ages in the Península Ibérica, where muslims, catholics and jews coexisted. For this new endeavor, we need to renew our instruments, to create a more mature sound: we need a harp, some percussion instruments (drums, bells, a darbuka…) and a flute. All the instruments we use are replicas of period instruments.

Who we're:
We’re Livia Camprubí, Guillermo Masiá, Saray Almazán and Alaia Belaunzaran: together, we’re Entrebescant Ensemble.
Entrebescant Ensemble was first created in Madrid in January 2015. Since the beginning, we were interested in Iberian music from the middle ages and in using appropriate instruments: different flutes, a Fidel and a rebeq, harp, a wide variety of percussion instruments…and our voices. We write our own music transcriptions from the manuscripts and we create our own version of the repertoire we are playing.
During this years of activity we have brought several programs to the public, mainly focusing on the music of al- Andalus, the Galician-portuguese ‘Cantigas’, and different instrumental and vocal music played in the península back in the day. During this time we have performed in many churches and different spaces in Madrid, Sevilla, Jaén and Portugal. We have engaged in concerts, pedagogical sessions, festivals and recording
How will we use your cobtribution?
Everything we get will be invested in the renewal of out instruments, we will be buying a harp, some percussion instruments (drums, bells, a darbuka…) and a flute, that will allow us to achieve a much richer sound.
Expected Calendar
A month after finishing the campaign we will send you your T- Shirts. The online concert date will depend on the time our artisans need to build the instruments (around three months). We will keep you updated through our social media!
