Hello friends. I want to record my first solo album. This album will consist of 10 personal compositions I have worked on in recent years.
I am very excited by this project and about the excellent musicians that will accompany me.
I am sure that with your help I will be able to take this project forward!
Thank you so much!!!
WHO ARE WE
- Naby Zana Camara: voice, composition and letters
I was born in Guinea-Konakry in 1993.
In 2000 I started to learn music with the Griot Galimaigaias family.
In 2007 I worked with a band of traditional Etoile de Boulbine music.
In 2012 I went on tour in Guinea with the ballet Alantantous. I danced on Konkonba, doundouba, Soli, Manais, Soumouloukou, Sintai rythms..
In 2016 I founded a group of traditional music in Senegal called "Wantanara", which means "We Are Together".
In 2017, Ibrahima Camara released his first album of which I am the composer and the singer.
I am currently living in Senegal.
I'm a singer. I write and sing the things I feel and I do concerts wherever I can. I understand music as a channel to convey my feelings, my relationship with music and my experiences of life, and also as a tool to meet people and learn. During this last year I have been composing what will be this album: Sontila.
Ibrahima Camara: Balafon
Amadou Sylla: Bolon
Abdoulaye Camara: Calabash
Morlay Camara: Djembé
A SAMPLE OF OUR MUSIC
WHAT YOUR CONTRIBUTIONS WILL PROVIDE US
Asking for 800€ is not easy. I know how hard it is to earn it, but it is the minimum that I need to pay for a quality record, including the trip to the studio, lodging and maintenance for the professionals who are helping me to do it.
The money earned from your contributions will be used for recording, artistic production, mixing and mastering the CD.
The recording will take place in Senegal, our current country of residence.
If the funding exceeds the minimal amount, I will allocate the contributions to the graphic design, illustrations and the making of the CD.
ABOUT THE RECOMMENDATIONS
Apart from being able to get my new album in the beginning you will have the option of enjoying private concert and different rewards that I thought might encourage you to collaborate with the project; such as private classes of Djembé, Dum Dum, Calabash or Bolon.
Transportation and accommodation costs are not included.
The rewards will be delivered in October, once the recording of the CD has ended.
Beginning of September: Recording of the CD, mixing and mastering.
October: Launching, distribution, promotion of the CD and delivery of the rewards.
