We are... ¡Kebyart!

¡Hi! We are Pere, Víctor, Robert & Daniel and together we created Kebyart Ensemble: a saxophone quartet. We play original music as well as transcriptions of other pieces originally written for other instrumentation.

Among others, we’ve received important prizes such as the “Concurs Montserrat Alavedra - BBVA award of music” and the “Primer Palau” award given by the Palau de la Música Catalana.

We also won the second prize of the “Concurs Permanente de música de cámara” for which we were given the opportunity to become a part of the “Young Musical Artists of Spain”.

In addition, we have performed in several cities in Spain as well as foreign countries e.g. as Russia and the Netherlands. This new season we have arranged many concerts and new projects and some premiers which will take our quartet around Spain but also other international cities such as Luxemburg.

And now...

The next step to keep on growing is the premier of our first discographic project: “Accents”. The aim is to play different styles, tendencies and intonations from the last two centuries. Of course, with our own language, with our own “accent”.

Original pieces for saxophone quartet “Fragments Striés” by Héctor Parra and “Planyiment” by Salvador Brotons, combined with transcriptions made by ourselves: Langsamer Satz by Anton Webern, Sechs Bagatellen by György Ligeti, Transylvanian Dances by Bartók and La fille aux cheveux de lin by Claude Debussy to commemorate the 100th anniversary of his death.

This work has been supervised by Jordi Francés, a prestigious orchestra conductor specialised in contemporary music, who joined us during this musical journey.

The disc will contain a small booklet to get the listener closer to our world and music. We will not include only our own point of view of the pieces we play but also a short essay about youth and chamber music written by the composer and writer Joan Magrané.

Eventhough we are young and have limited resources with your help our path can go on. With the money we saved ourselves we were able to pay for the recording and the post production as well as the legal rights by SGAE and taxes.

We do this verkami because we need your help. We would like you to finance the last bits we need to do to finish this project: printing, album distribution and graphic material (photography, teaser video, design…).

• Customised video: We will send you a short video to thank you, which we will design specially for you.

• Masterclass: For saxophonists, a masterclass with one of our members, it’s up to you, you can choose!

• Concert: A 40 minutes concert by Kebyart Ensemble, and we will give you our CD just there! (travel expenses not included)

¿When will I get my reward?

The CD was recorded last July and we just finished postproduction and mastering. At this point we are working on our graphic material and album design.

We plan to air the CD over November 2017, when we will also do a presentation of our work for the specialised press. Also, we will play one of the most important concerts of our season in Palau de la Música Catalana. This will give more visibility to our project and start to offer our first copies. It will be around these days when we will start to organise and give all the rewards to everyone who helped in our project.

Once the crowdfounding has finished we will send you the different options to get your reward at home.
