We are a progressive Jazz-Rock band. After three years playing together, we have decided to release our first album, which synthesizes the music we've been making until now.
** ALONE? **
Not at all! We work with several artists and organizations:
- Brais Ocampo, poet, who has just published his poem book "Tu piedra mojada", and performs with us in one of the tracks (the first of many to come!).
- Local de Música de Pontevedra, providing us with a place to play and rehearse for more than three years.
- Asociación Musiquina 33mg, who has helped us out more than once to get our projects and rehearsals done, including the recordings for this album.
- Chotokoeu. Fun and party, great friends and great musicians!
... and you, our audience, who makes us willing to come back to the stage again and again.
HOW ARE WE GOING TO DO IT?
We have no label or contracts, we release our recordings under a Creative Commons license, we do the stuff ourselves. Sticking to this way of thinking, we want to produce this album with our own means. But there always is something that seems out of reach. We need your help to rent a studio for some additional recordings and for mastering the mix. We need to order the duplication of the CD's, and also pay for uploading our music to iTunes and Spotify. There are a lot of things we have to pay, and that's why we're asking you to fund our project.
WHAT DO YOU THE DONORS GET BACK?
Funding our project will give you the right to make a reservation for your CD (signed, of course), will give you tickets for the next shows or you could advertise in our soon coming web site.
HOW MUCH DO IT COST US?
It will be:
- 600 € duplication of the album (700 copies)
- 150 € studio renting
- 400 € artwork
- 600 € mastering
- 50 € digital publishing
Part of the funding will come from you and we'll invest our money too, (which we hopefully will get back by selling the CDs). The rest of it will be our work hours.
WHAT IF WE GET MORE MONEY THAN REQUIRED?
If we accomplish our project, the rest of the money will be invested in more copies and promotion of the album. And we'll save for the next one, hoping that it will take less than the first one to come to light!
HOW IS THE RECORDING GOING ON?
The project is already going on. We are recording some parts at home, and we are looking for funding to pay for the studio to record the drums and sax, mastering, mixing, etc. We are anticipating the album through social networks, and we want to leverage this 40 days window advertising this fundrising initiative at our shows and through the media, encouraging other bands and artists to explore this model: the crowdfunding.
