Recording My First Solo Album

Hi there,

My name is Koray Alarslan. I'm a self-educated musician from Turkey. I've been an active performer, composer, producer, arranger, sound engineer and piano & music theory teacher since 1999. For years and years I've played with many different bands and artists from different musical genres and released several albums with them. And I think now it's my turn to put something on the table.

I've been writing songs and composing music for more than 20 years. From progressive rock to chillout, jazzy piano solos or orchestral pieces, I like to compose in various styles. I remember humming the melodies in my head while I was waiting for the school bus when I was 8 or 9. So it's like a need for me.

Musical identity of this album will be a blend of electro & acoustic rock/ambient/post rock with some avantgarde approach. I'm kinda DIY guy, so I'll produce the album by myself. But I need a little help from you to make it possible.

Now you can be a part of this album and my dream. I don't care about being a star or a billionaire. All I want to do is make music and share it with people. Because I believe that music is the strongest connection between people from all over the world.

What will be the allocation of your contribution:

Recently I've had to sell almost all of my equipments due to financial issues and I need some new studio equipments to record this album.

Your contributions will be used to finance all the expenses like;

Audio interface

Studio monitors (speakers)

Microphones

Musicians payment

Mastering costs

CD manifacturing costs

Song licensing fees

etc.

About the rewards

Without your contribution I won't be able to accomplish it. So don't see your pledges like simple financial supports.

What can I offer you... your favourite song's cover version made by me, a compilation album consist of selected material from my recent works with other bands and artists, your name on album's ''thanks list'', album cover printed on recyclable material, a hard copy of the album, downloadable HD version of the album cover (poster size), alternate mix version of an album song, digital download of the album...

Estimated calendar

If I manage to get the funding that I need, I'll place an order for equipments as soon as possible. And it will take 5-6 weeks to finish recording, mixing and mastering the album.

After the album is done, I can deliver the rewards immediately.
