I am Checko Glen, Latin American musician and composer based in Barcelona for more than 12 years.

Some time ago after participating in several musical projects, I embarked to create a solo project with the intention of connecting with people and spreading an emotion. That is when Checko Glen was born.

It’s never easy to classify one’s music. In my case it’s perhaps the result in diversity of music styles I have come across down my path (funk, soul, acid jazz, electronic, latin). That is what makes it unique and sincere.

My songs transmit a message of mindfulness, they propel the senses and seduce the ear. I'm sure they'll excite you and make you vibrate to the rhythm that runs through my veins.

For me, composing is a way of opening a door, of letting go and letting flow everything stored within. Little by little we gain ground to discovery and rediscovery through this process. It is a communion between instinct and emotion.

What I am going to do?

I will record and produce my first studio album. For this I need your help to finance this production and achieve this goal.

I will count on the participation and co-production of my colleagues and producers of La Atlantida Estudio. With their experience and musical taste, they will help me to strengthen and define the sound of this first album. Julian Tobon Glen, a New York based musician will serve with additional production. He will make a special appearance, adding electronic elements to this musical work. This will impart a current and fresh approach to the project.

I will also count on the participation of a staff of exceptional instrumentalists. I will gradually keep you updated on who they will be on my project blog.

The album art will be designed by the Italian artist Davide Sabbatini and the graphic direction by Carolina Pacheco Glen.

Thanks to your help and contribution I will complete the recording and production of my first album. By contributing with the pre-sale phase of the album and acquiring other Checko Glen merchandise and goods, you will be a part of the realization of my goal.

How will the proceeds of your participation be directed?

This campaign’s proceeds will go to the recording, mixing, mastering, manufacturing, art design and promotion of the album along with the release of a video clip of the first single.

If the target is surpassed, that money will be invested in promotion.

Production Schedule

• Completion of the crowdfunding campaign: last week of June 2016

• Rehearsals and recording: July 2016

• Mixing and mastering: July 2016

• Creating copies and merchandising: August 2016

• Sending rewards: September 2016

• Album release: October 2016

The Verkami campaign lasts 40 days and I will only receive your contribution if we arrive to the final amount. In other words, we have 40 days to reach the goal of the campaign, so everyone’s help really matters!
