Gerardo and Miguel are neighbors in the same building, one day they break into the next-door apartment, which belonged to a man who died recently. Both Gerardo and Miguel intend to expand their own properties, so they will fight each other for their neighbor’s home. The turn-out of the events will show how “man is wolf to man”.

“Lobos” is a 15 min-short movie about silences and whisperings. This intimate and powerful story revolves around life’s irony and the importance of enjoying life with what we have. The short movie’s title was suggested by the cybernauts. Four titles were selected and voted on-line, the final name is a group creation resulting from everybody’s participation.

“Lobos” takes Michael Haneke’s dark style as well as the type of suspense described by Hitchcock where the camera imitates a person’s view. This use of the camera makes the audience participate of voyeurism by using framings that cause anxiety, fear or empathy. Likewise, this short movie is strongly influenced by Caravaggio and Rembrandt’s use of chiaroscuro.

This story shows a Cuban reality that has not been projected on the screen yet. This social situation is also happening in other countries from Latin America. It is a good idea to share this problem with the rest of the world since nowadays we live so fast that we do not realize of our own human miseries.

“Autostop”, “La Manigua” and “K studio” are two independent producers that collaborate with the project. Currently, the 80% of the production is covered; however, we still need your support in order to materialize our project. Mainly, your collaborations will be devoted to finance art direction as well as sound and image postproduction.

When do we begin and finish the process? How do we reward you?

The project is now in a pre-production stage. We start filming in the middle of September, 2016. We should be finishing postproduction at the end of December, 2016. Therefore, rewards will be delivered at the beginning of January, 2017. Any possible modification will be communicated beforehand.
