NECESITAMOS TU AYUDA PARA TERMINAR DE RODAR ESTE CORTOMETRAJE!!! GRACIAS A VOS VAMOS A PODER CONTAR LA HISTORIA DE UN HOMBRE Y UNA ISLA.

El Valle Interior es un cortometraje de ficción dirigido por Alejandro Tarraf . Una pelicula antropológica, en la frontera con el genero documental y la ficcion de ensayo.

SINOPSIS:
Geronimo trabaja en el delta del rio en la provincia de Buenos Aires como junquero. Despues de un ultimo encuentro con su madre, ella le dará un regalo para para guardar bajo tierra. Cuando ella desaparece, Geronimo sentirá el peso de la naturaleza y su propio tiempo.

COMENTARIOS DEL DIRECTOR:
"El nacimiento del Valle Interior surge de la busqueda de ciertas preguntas existenciales y silencios internos partes de la vida. La historia habla de una madre, habla de la naturaleza, de la fertilidad y del conflicto entre la vida y la muerte."

"Buscabamos un hombre primitivo, pero contemporaneo. Quería trabajar con un actor no profesional, que viviese y trabajase en la Isla. Tuvimos mucha suerte al descubrir a Gerónimo, una persona llena de sabiduría. Vivimos con él sin electricidad, y algunos días dormimos debajo de las estrellas. Tuvimos que aprender a ser respetuosos, y pudimos disfrutar de la paz y la belleza de la isla.
Rodamos en 16mm, la mayor parte del tiempo con luz natural. Aprendimos a vivir la vida que vivía Geronimo y el vasto mundo que lo rodea. Esperamos que la pelicula sea capaz de capturar la increible experiencia de la isla, una vez terminada.

EL PROTAGONISTA Y EL CONFLICTO DE HOY:
Geronimo tiene 48 años, vive y trabaja del junco para sobrevivir. La localización es en el Delta de la Isla de San Fernando, en la provincia de Buenos Aires. Gerónimo Gadea vive en el arroyo Anguila, junto a una pequeña comunidad de trabajadores y pescadores. Durante los ultimos tres años, estas personas han sido aisladas y amenazadas, muchas propiedades han sido incendiadas y se han perdido, ya que algunas instituciónes privadas estan construyendo una comunidad de lujo en el area, destruyendo así toda la flora y fauna ademas de las vidas y trabajos de estas personas. Muy pocos tienen la fuerza de luchar, y nuestro protagonista vive luchando en la vida real cada día.

Con ello tenemos el proyecto rodado y montado, con ese montaje la ayuda de la co-producción y el resto de entidades nos permiten llevar proyecto hasta su proyección en salas.

Project description

WE NEED YOU TO BECAME A FUNDRAISER TO BE ABLE TO FINISH SHOOTING THIS SHORT IN TWO MONTHS. EVERY LITTLE HELP IS A GREAT STEP FOR THE PROJECT. JOIN THE INNER VALLEY AND BECAME A PRODUCER.

The Inner Valley is a short film shot in 16mm by Alejandro Tarraf. A Anthropologic film at the boundaries of documentary and fiction essay.

SYNOPSIS:

Geronimo works in the delta river in the province of Buenos Aires, after the last encounter with his mother he receives a gift to be buried. When she disappears, Geronimo will feel the weight of nature and his time.

DIRECTOR COMMENTS
“The Birth of “The Inner Valley came through the search of certain existential questions and inner silences that are part of life. The story talks about a mother, talks about nature, fertility and the conflict between life and death”
“We searched for a primitive man and contemporary man, I wanted to work with a non actor, a character that worked and lived in the island. We were lucky to discover Geronimo, he is a man full of wisdom. We lived with him without electricity and some days we slept under the stars, we had to learn to be respectful, and we enjoyed the quietness and simple beauty of nature. We shot in 16mm with available light most of the time. We learned to Geronimo´s life and the vast world surrounding him. We hope that the film captures the amazing experience that we had in the island” Alejandro Tarraf, Writer and Director.

THE CHARACTER AND CONFLICTS TODAY:

Geronimo is 48 years old, he lives and works with “Junco” to survive.
The Location is the Delta of San Fernando Island, province of Buenos Aires.
Geronimo Gadea lives in the Anguilas River, a small community of island workers
and fishermen. During the last three years, these people have been isolated and threatened, properties have been lost and burned, and some private institutions are trying to build a community for rich people in the area. Just few people are still strong enough to face them.
