Lifeguarding For Surfers

This book is the second edition and given the great reception it has had in Spanish, we have decided to augment and translate it into English.

In Lifeguard for Surfers we will see from how to mobilize / immobilize a person with possible spinal injury to the explanations of urban legends, going through the types of rescues and trailers for the different profiles of surfers with problems that we can find at sea. All these procedures, methods and guidelines are improving over time, therefore, the surfer must be continuously recycled and updated, which we will try to do from this book.

About us:

Surfing for 36 years and lifeguard for 24 (lifeguard, beach coordinator and instructor).

This started when I trained the surf instructors in safety and in teaching for Big Waves in Zarauz,Sopela, Galicia, England, etc ...

It occurred to me to write a book summarizing simple rescue and first aid techniques and techniques for surfers, with stories from well-known surfers about their experiences in the water (Natxo González, Axi Muniain, Alberto Ortega, Andoni Fdez. Ostolaza, Julen Larrañaga, Peter Conroy, Tony Butt, Eric Rebiere, Leticia Canales, ...).

What do we need the money for:

The money raised will be invested in the layout, printing of the book and in screen printing on the T-shirts.
