"Gender violence is an intrinsic evil in society, it is an attack against the integrity, dignity and freedom of women. Gender violence is the most brutal manifestation of the inequalities between men and women, it is a problem that crosses borders and is present in all the countries of the world. It is important to give visibility to this bad habit, and help to not forget that it happens every day, taking hundreds of lives every year just in Spain.

With this short film we want the public to empathize with a woman under these circumstances, see how she thinks and suffers in silence."

Bianca Palmisano (screenwriter, director and actress)

El Cono del Silencio & Studio Zefiro

We are two small independent production companies that make short films (in the case of "El Cono del Silencio" also theatre plays) and we believe that this project is important enough to do it in an appropriate way, with all the respect it deserves. That is why we are collecting money to do our best.

THE PROJECT

  • ¿Qué puedo hacer por ti?(What can I do for you?) adapts Bianca Palmisano's monologue about gender violence. In it you will see how our protagonist suffers abuse from practically the beginning of her relationship from his abuser, and how she realizes that she must avoid that situation before it is too late...

  • This will be a short film about 15/20 minutes long where we will see flashbacks as the evolution of the relationship between Helena, and her abuser, Hector. If we collect more than our initial goal, we will include new rewards for all participants.

  • Producing a short film is a very expensive and slow experience, that's why we ask for your help to carry on this project. Help us finish this project, because we believe It totally worths it. By doing so, you will support an independent film, you will join a young team and a vibrant community of patrons around the world.

  • All funds raised will be used mainly for production costs: crew, transport and diets ... we prefer to ask for less and achieve our goal. If we exceed our goal, we would use it to improve post-production (editing, music, etc...)

  • The project will begin shooting at the beginning of September 2019, once the crowfunding campaign at Verkami is finished. The rewards will be shipped once the filming and post-production are finished (by the end of October 2019).
