The Eternal Dream is a fiction short film written and directed by Joaquín Tamargo.
The story deals with topics such as love, loneliness and unaccomplished dreams.
With a language very close to surrealism and with constant references to the 50s film noir genre, the plot moves continuously between reality and fiction, weaving a disturbing story in which both worlds end up mixing.
The script was inspired by various artistic works, among others, the photographs of Duane Michals and the movies Eraserhead, The Lady from Shangai, Jack the Ripper, The Trial, Videodrome and Holy Motors.
The shooting took place in Madrid and lasted five days. The budget of the film amounted to 6000 euros and was self-funded.
The premiere was held on May 18 in Sala Metropol. It was with great enthusiasm we reunited the team to watch the result of our efforts.
The actors
Arturo de la Torre is a character actor, with a powerful voice and a great presence. He has an extended career in film, television and theater.
Paloma de Pablo is an actress and model with experience in theater mostly, but she has also worked on several series and short films.
Norberto Rizzo has worked in theater, radio, press and television. He also has a career as a singer, director and cultural manager.

How we will use your funds
We are really happy to have finished the short film, but the journey is not over.
We now need to present it to festivals.
Our distributor Ojos Abiertos has prepared a plan that includes a two-year tour of the most important short film festivals, both national and international ones.
Distributing the film implies a minimum cost of € 2000 per year, considering travel expenses, festival registration fees, DVD creation, DCP copies, subtitles translations, travel expenses, etc.
The purpose of this campaign is to ensure that the short film is distributed properly.
