"I have traveled to Tibet several times and there I knew a millenary, vital culture full of colors... but I have also known what is probably one of the most oppressed peoples in the world: a kidnapped culture, kidnapped lives, a whole kidnapped country"
Juanma Chavarrías, director and producer of Kidnapping Tibet
After shooting in Tibet, we decided to make a documentary about the idea that an entire country is being kidnapped right now. On the one hand, our aim is to show the real life of a country completely forgotten for the Western culture and, on the other hand, to denounce how the economy can be more significant than human rights.
In Kidnapping Tibet we will tell how the Chinese occupation in Tibet will cause the disappearance of the Tibetan population. Even more, China's influence on the Western world is more than clear when a complaint was filed in Spain for genocide against the Chinese government and the laws of universal jurisdiction were quickly changed in order to leave this crime unpunished.
Our project has been joined by personalities such as the lawyers Baltasar Garzón and José Elías who wrote the complaint against the Chinese government, Tubten Wangchen, lama and member of the Tibetan parliament in exile , Josep Lluís Alay, expert in history of Tibet or Lama Lamsang from the Nagarjuna Center in Valencia, as well as several Tibetan refugees in Spain.
We think that there are no lost causes and that is why, with your help, we want to make this project real in order to denounce an injustice to which we cannot remain indifferent.

About the rewards
If we get the funding, we hope to finish the documentary this summer. Then we will start the screenings around the world. It would be then when we will deliver the rewards.
About us
We are Diana Carolina González and Samuel Sebastian from GAMANprod. Since 2014 we have been co-producing films with a social interest and international focus. This time we have joined to our team Juanma Chavarrías, an independent producer. ** Kidnapping Tibet ** is his first documentary.
Previously, we have had successful experiences in crowdfunding, such as the documentary ** The Silent Revolution ** in 2013 on the situation of the Kurds in the war in Syria. We raised more than € 7000 that allowed us to finish the documentary and distribute it around the world.
Your contributions
We are at the beginning of our journey, we still need to do some interviews, as well as editing, post-production and translation of the documentary. Then we would like to distribute our documentary all over the world so that people will know this issue.
That's why we consider that, in order to finish the project, we would need to make a € 4400 crowdfunding, of which:
€ 1000 would be for taxes and rewards
€ 400 for the trips of the last interviews
€ 1500 for the editing and post-production
€ 900 for the disstribution: translations, materials, DVDs, screenings, etc.
€ 600 for the worldwide distribution of the documentary through international festivals
Scheduled calendar
Our first stop will be at the Humans Fest in Valencia on February 13th in which we will launch some fragments of the documentary and after that we will be in a panel discussion with Baltasar Garzón, José Elías, Tubten Wangchen and Héctor Fáver, ** Lesa humanidad**'s director.
Then we will finish the last interviews of the documentary and its postproduction. We will also get ready the rewards for next summer. The world premiere of Kidnapping Tibet will be ready in September 2018.
