Descripción del proyecto

DE QUE TRATA
En el trabajo se habla metafóricamente del individuo y la sociedad a través de las plumas y la acción de volar.

Un proyecto artístico innovador en el que el público interactua y está conectado con la obra de manera directa y participativa.

Nace en el 2008 y desde entonces está en continuo proceso (work in progress).

Se materializa en el propio lugar donde se exhibe (site-specific), teniendo un caracter único, como lo es el propio tiempo y espacio en el que se concibe.

En él se experimenta con distintas disciplinas: la fotográfica, el video, la instalación, performance y la acción colectiva.

¿QUE ME MUEVE A REALIZARLO?
Continuar este proyecto artístico innovador en el que él público deja de ser mero observador para ser parte de la obra, un proyecto comprometido que pide también compromiso del otro para generar y potenciar la idea de colectividad abandonada por el individual-ego-ismo imperante.

Implicar, sorprender, hacer reflexionar y participar a todo el que vea el proyecto y lo siga. Desde abril mediante la acción colectiva iniciada a través de la revista Núa. En mayo a través de la galería Kulturpalast Wedding en Berlín. Y finalmente en septiembre en espace o25rjj en Loupian Francia, todo el proceso será posteriormente documentando en la web.

Conectar el arte contemporáneo con el público, sacarlo del circuito habitual del arte, crear un compromiso con el otro a través de una simple acción artística. Hacer partícipe al espectador del concepto del proyecto: la suma de todos nos hará "volar".

¿EN QUÉ VOY A INVERTIR VUESTRAS APORTACIONES?
He hecho un presupuesto de mínimos con los que puedo llevar a cabo el proyecto. Incluye gastos de diferentes partidas indispensables:

  • Una pequeña parte para los materiales con los que se realizará la nueva instalación
  • Gastos de transporte
  • Por vez primera quiero realizar un libro que documente todo el proceso. Por el carácter efímero del trabajo sino es documentado no puede ser compartido más que con las personas que pueden desplazarse al espacio donde tiene lugar. Al ser un trabajo procesual esto parece necesario. Así el libro estaría formado por la serie de imágenes realizadas desde el año 2008, los textos, las acciones y documentación de las tres instalaciones: Madrid, Berlin y Loupian.
  • Los pagos a los mecenas.

CUANDO SE VA A REALIZAR
El proyecto culmina entre finales de septiembre y principios de octubre del 2012 en Espace o25rjj, Loupian (Francia) Invitada por la artista y comisaria Pascale Fiapp. Este espacio me ofrece dos semanas de alojamiento para trabajar este proyecto y darle la forma final en el propio espacio (site-specific)

¿POR QUE OS NECESITO?
Actualmente contar con subvenciones o patrocinios es imposible (siento la negatividad, pero es la realidad), ya nadie puede o quiere invertir
a contribuir al desarrollo del arte. Esto en nuestro país siempre a estado latente pero ahora es fulminante.
Parece que esta nueva vía, en la cual todas las personas podemos participar al desarrollo de pensamiento y emoción que elijamos, es una muy buena alternativa. Cada persona puede valorar y contribuir dentro
de sus posibilidades, el arte algo siempre de la elite se convierte en algo de todos nosotros.
Con una pequeña aportación podemos hacer que las ideas se materialicen. Espero que la idea y emoción que este trabajo quiere transmitir y desarrollar os interese...y que así entre todos sea posible su realización.

CONCEPTO DEL TRABAJO
Para introducir el trabajo quiero comenzar hablando de ¿quién es el Recolector de plumas? El Recolector es un individuo cansado de la dinámica en la que se vive en las grandes ciudades. Más concretamente del ritmo frenético del transitar y del hacer en la vida diaria, del continuo hacer, producir, conseguir, competir, poseer, ser más, tener más...
El recolector de plumas soy yo y con el sentimiento o necesidad de apartarme de ese ritmo inicié una búsqueda del vacío y el silencio, ambas difíciles de encontrar en las grandes urbes.

Esta búsqueda la inicié en el campo, concretamente en Normandía en el verano del 2008. En este nuevo entorno en el que elegí desenvolverme, inicié una nueva actividad diaria, ésta consistía en dar largos paseos por el campo y recolectar las plumas que iba encontrando.
Estas plumas son para mí "cuerpos" que yacen sobre la tierra, y en esta tarea diaria surge la duda ¿Cuándo es más libre la pluma?, ¿al estar unida al resto de plumas, que como ella tienen su función formando parte de otro cuerpo?, ¿o al desprenderse y quedar sola sin función clara y a expensas de que viento, agua u otro cuerpo le den movimiento?...
Podría decir, veo en la pluma mi ser, el cual, en ese momento, ha decidido romper con su colectivo social y me encuentro sin un rumbo claro, sin una función clara en el engranaje social.

"El Recolector" es un work in progress y desde el 2010 se genera en los propios espacios donde se va a exhibir (site-specific). Desde el 2008, se ha ido transformando comenzando en un primer momento con una mirada interna, unido a un malestar social, y seguida por la observación de la naturaleza. Es ahora en el 2012 que la mirada retorna hacia el colectivo social, esta vez sin malestar, sino con una mirada renovada, con una nueva energía y sentido de lo que somos.

Esto último se a traducido en una acción colectiva lanzada primero a través de la revista NÚA en Vigo y luego desde la galería del Kulturpalast Wedding en Berlin.
Esta acción es "una metáfora de libertad" pero esta vez en lugar de individual es social. Bajo título "Volver a volar"/"Wieder fliegen können" vamos a hacer que 101 plumas vuelvan a volar, y que sigan volando sin rumbo fijo hasta agosto del 2012 fecha en la cual de nuevo se juntarán al sur de Francia. En septiembre esta acción culminará con el nuevo site-specific de "El Recolector de plumas" las plumas que lleguen se unirán a 900 plumas que serán recolectadas hasta la fecha de la instalación, ¿1001 plumas quizás?
En la exposición se montarán las dos video instalaciones "¿Cuando es más libre la pluma?" y "El huevo que nunca cae" producto de los anteriores trabajos, junto a la nueva instalación y performance "Volver a volar"

WHAT IS ABOUT
The work talks metaphorically about the individual and society through the feathers and the action of flying.

An innovative art project in which the public interacts and is connected with the work in a direct and participatory manner.

It is produced in the same place where it is exhibited (site-specific), unique as the time and space of it's conception.

Experiments in different techniques are carried out: photography, video, installation, performance arte and collective action..

WHAT MOVES ME TO DO THIS?
Continue this innovative art project in which the public ceases to be mere observer to be a part of the work, a project committed to requests also commitment from the other to generate and promote the idea of collectivity.

Involve, surprise, to reflect on and participate to everyone who sees the project and follow it. From April through collective action initiated via Núa magazine continues in May through the Kulturpalast Wedding gallery in Berlin and finally in September in espace or25rjj Loupian in France, the entire process will be documented later in the web.

Connect the contemporary art with the public, out of the usual circuit of the art, create a commitment to the other through a simple artistic action. To engage the spectator of the concept of the project: the sum of all we will "fly".

WHAT I'M GOING TO INVEST YOUR CONTRIBUTIONS?
I have done a budget with the minimum that i can carry out the project. Includes expenses from different essential items:

  • A small part for the materials with which will be the new installation
  • Transportation Expenses
  • For the first time I want to make a book documenting the entire process. By the ephemeral nature of the work but is not documented can be shared more than with the people that are unable to navigate to the gallery. To be a processual work this seems necessary. As well the book would be composed of a series of images taken from the year 2008, the texts, the actions and documentation of the three installations: Madrid, Berlin and Loupian.
  • Rewards expenses to the patrons.

WHEN IT IS GOING TO BE MADE
The project culminates between late September and early October of 2012 at Espace or25rjj, Loupian (France) invited by the artist and curator Pascale Fiapp. This space provides me two weeks of accommodation to developed this project making a site-specific work on the space. information about the space

WHY DO I NEED YOUR HELP?
Currently have grants or sponsorships is impossible (sorry about the negativity, but it is the reality), nobody can or wants to invest contribute to the development of the art. This in our country (Spain) always latent state but now is fulminant.
It seems that this new way, in which all the people can participate to the development of thought and emotion that we choose, can be a very good alternative. Each person can assess and contribute inside their possibilities, art had always being on the elite hands, through crowdfunding becomes something of all of us.
With a small contribution we can make the ideas materialize. I hope that the idea and emotion that the work wishes to communicate and develop its on your interest ... and then, among all its realization to be possible.

CONCEPT OF THE WORK
To introduce the work i would like to start talking about, Who is this collector? The feather collector is an individual exhausted by the haste that runs large cities. More specifically, the arduous rhythm of everyday life. The social pressure that, even when tyring to be fought against, ends up dragging one into an unstoppable tornado of doing, producing, acheiving, competing, possesing, being more, having more...
I am the feather collector, and with the feeling or need to depart from this pace I start a search of the vacuum and the silence, both difficult to find in the big cities.

This search I begun it in the field, specifically in Normandy in the summer of 2008. In this new environment in which i chose unknown, start a new daily activity, this was to go for long walks in the field and collect the feathers that was found.
I spent months walking and collecting the "bodies" that lie on the earth... and a question came upon me: when is the feather more free? When united to other feathers, all functioning as part of another body? Or once separated, alone and function-less, at the mercy of the wind, water and other elements that might move it onward?

I could say, I see on the feather my being, which, at that time, has decided to break with their social group and I find myself without a clear direction, without a clear role in the social machinery.

"The Collector" is a work in progress and since 2010 is generated in the own spaces where they are going to exhibit (site-specific). Since 2008 it has gradually been transformed starting in a first moment with a internal gaze, joined a social malaise, and followed by the observation of nature. It is now in 2012 that the gaze returns toward the social collective, this time without discomfort, but with a fresh look, with a new energy and a sense of what we are or what we may be.

This last it is translated in a collective action launched first through the magazine NÚA in Vigo and then from the gallery of the Kulturpalast Wedding at Berlin.
This action is a metaphor for freedom but this time instead of individual is social. Under the title "Return to flying"/"Wieder fliegen können" we're going to make 101 new feathers fly, and they keep flying aimlessly until August 2012 date on which again are gathered in the south of France. In September this action will culminate with a new installation and performance of "The Feather Collector". While the 101 feather are flying i am collecting 900 feather more, we will see how many feathers we will get at the end, maybe 1001?
The exhibition has two video installations "when is it more free the feather? " and "The egg never drops" next to the new installation and performance "Return to flying"
