Short Film The Nudist
The Nudist is a journey searching for personal freedom and the enrichment of soul and mind.
It all starts with two naked bodies lying on the sand of a beach. Childhood and youth memories show the barriers of each stage before maturing, through the vision of a society marked by different prototypes and the use of the human body as an object.
What is forbidden becomes purity when looked through the eyes of a child. A return to our origin to enjoy the feeling of freedom and the contact with natural environment. The rays of the sun caressing the sand of a deserted beach. Swimming completely nude in the immensity of the ocean.
Plot
Raúl looks absorbed at a naked couple at the beach. When he was just 10 years old, stripped of all kind of prejudice, he understands the relationship between human body and nature. The taboo that nudity represents is a big burden for Raúl, who must get rid of the vision that has taunted him in order to achieve his goal: to be nude.

FILM LOCATION
The beach (HUELVA, Spain)
Nature in its maximum potential. Unknown surrounding that fusions with mother nature. A return to origin, leaving behind any type of materialistic thing. Prohibited does not exist as it is not conceived. Contact with other species and freedom to share the surrounding and the air, avoiding any type of pollution.
The City (SEVILLE, Spain)
The chaos of the city. Stress and stereotypes. Monotony and rules. The law human beans, dominant specie. A natural fight to preserve leisure but limited by a concrete prison that provides oxygen.
What will we do with the raised money?
The Nudist won the Best Short Film Project, VII European Film Award University of Seville (at Seville European Film Festival 2014). With the money prize we have been able to make the Pre-production and filming of the film, but we need a final economical boost to finish the project.
The money you help us to get will all go into the Post-production process of video and audio, getting the final editing of the project. Right now, we are in this last step before finishing the film. The editing team, made up of Lucas Góngora and María José García, has got to work to give you the perfect tone to this story, and also the great work that Tres Gatos Sonido has done, Alonso and Francis, placing all the sounds and finishing the soundtrack.
We will distribute the budget, that will be obtained thanks to your contributions, to cover:
Film Post-production = € 1000
Original Film Score Recording = 295 €
Film distribution in festivals and others = 500 €
English subtitles to internationalize the project = 120 €
Subtitles for hearing impaired = 60 €
Verkami’s percentage (bank fees and rewards) = 525€
Calendar
After a long Pre-production, which began brewing after it was awarded by the University of Seville, during the last European Film Festival, production culminated in a filming that lasted from 12th to 21th March. Like the casting, the shooting focused on Huelva and Seville.
From March to October, the team will be working on the Post-production of the project, to make sure everything is ready for its premiere at the Seville European Film Festival 2016, (exact date to be specified).
The rewards will be delivered during the month of February next year.
Who make up The Nudist team?

During their career, they have co-produced and distributed the films Bicho Raro (Emanuelle Chianella, Teresa Roca and Rocío Martín, Seville 2012) for the International Festival "We Are Water" and the movie CRAC (Lazarus Louzao, Bilbao 2014). Thanks for getting in touch with us. We don’t have distribution yet, only some festivals that have been interested in the movie and what we have done on our one.
Can you tell us more about your film?
Hope we keep in touch!
